30 Days of Thanks: Day 6
Today I am thankful for:
The park.
I woke up this morning with nothing to look forward to today other than scheduling and then attending a doctor’s appointment. So, I scheduled it, got myself and the kid ready, and checked Facebook before leaving.
A friend was taking her daughter to lunch. Did anyone want to join? You bet we did – fun lunch with friends now on the schedule.
Went to the doctor’s, as we were leaving, ran into some other friends. They couldn’t join us for lunch – but they might be going to the park later, would we be there? Good idea! We might.
After the appointment, went to lunch. Another friend called – they are headed to the park too, did we want to meet them there? We’re at lunch, we’d see them after. Friend from lunch will join us too.
Leave lunch, head to park. ANOTHER friend had the same idea, so we set the kids loose on the playground and sat around chatting and enjoying the sun while the kids played and played (and played..). Two and a half hours later, we finally headed home.
